Strategic plan definition

For the Racing Club de Lens, a French League 1 football club playing the Champions League, Six Sports Management was requested to contribute to the writing of the club’s strategic plan for the years 2025-2027. The plan focussed on 4 key elements : revenue development, club’s identity, infrastructures and sports performance, tackled through the animation of four workshops. 

Key deliverables : An exhaustive strategic plan introduced by an audit of current situation of the club, a detail of envisioned projects to be led and a chart of actions to be led with key objectives, timing, responsibilities and expected impact within club’s strategy.

Governance and structuration audit

In the end of 2025, Six Sports Management has been solicited to support the French bowls federation in realizing an analysis of its governance scheme and its structuration. The federation is the biggest non-Olympic one, with more than 300 licensees, 900 members and around 15 employees for 30 elected representatives.

Deliverables : the audit ended up in the listing of 15 key assessments and associated recommendations to be led in the upcoming months to improve decision making and ensure healthy development.

Cluster structuring ahead of games

Alongside long-time partner RnK, Six Sports Management supported the Briançonnais cluster association of local authorities to organize and structure itself ahead of hosting the 2030 Olympics.

Deliverables : Audit of the current organization and identification of 15 key insights to be dealt with. Drafting of solutions and key tools (RACI matrix, Gantt chart…) to improve internal management as well as relationship with third parties like OCOG.

Governance audit and report

The 2023 Rugby World Cup in France has experienced major governance issues leading up in the departure of its general manager one year only ahead of the event for harassment and fraud suspicions issues. In this regard, Six Sports Management has been asked to produce a report on the crisis management and the overall governance of the organizing committee before its members leave for other projects once the competition is over.

Deliverables : An exhaustive report on organizing committee governance and crisis management delivered to the French Cour des Comptes to draft its official report.

Strategic plan definition

Following the restructuring of public funding policies to sports for development initiatives, the Terres en Mêlées NGO, known for using rugby as a tool to fight gender inequalities and improve peace within societies in African countries asked Six Sports Management for help in order to provide the association with a roadmap for the upcoming years. Such roadmap had to take into consideration the financial situation of the organization as much as the geopolitical and structural evolution of sport for development support initiatives.

Deliverables : a strategic plan for 2026-2028 with key priorities and long term vision definition in activities restructuring

Identity strategy audit

Racing 92 is one of the oldest rugby clubs in France, yet one of the most advanced in fan experience, playing in a 30,000 seats arena in Paris suburbs. However, the club has been facing difficulties to combine being attractive to as many new spectators as possible and engaging fans into a community led by values and passion for rugby. Six Sports Management provided the club with an analysis of the identity’s expression and drafted key suggestions to improve the way it is featured.

Revenue Management

Ticketing strategy

For the 2026 Bordeaux SVNS, organized jointly by the FFR and RnK, Six Sports Management has been bringing its expertise in rugby sevens to contribute to the ticketing strategy definition for the event, trying to make it a key element of fan experience. Stadium categories definition, products and pricing definition, sales phasing… The overall strategy appeared to be successful with a higher revenue generated by ticketing and a higher attendance than what had been budgeted in the first hand.

Revenue strategy

Alongside our partner RnK, we provided the 2028 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships with an overall revenue strategy : ticketing, hospitality, sponsorship, other revenues (F&B, merchandising…). With organization in two different arenas in France with their own economic models, the topic was engaging, resulting in trying to find out which model would best fit the organization to collect and use purchasing data.

Deliverables : a 360° revenue strategy with a major focus on ticketing.

Revenue diversification

Alongside Spartner Event & Consulting, Six Sports Management has been providing the Occitanie Region with strategy consulting regarding the generation of B2B revenue for its CREPS (regional performance centers).

Deliverables : ready-to-deploy diversification strategy focussing on generating B2B revenues through seminars and corporate experiences

Revenue diversification and optimisation

For Paris Entertainment Company venues (Accor Arena, adidas arena, Bataclan), Antoine Duval has been providing analyses and studies to improve revenue generation through the repositioning of the Bataclan concert hall into a 100% rock venue, the attribution of concessions to bars within the Accor Arena and working on the business plan of the adidas arena, as well as leading studies on diversification opportunities (web3 especially).

Go to market and business development

Six Sports Management, alongside its partner Echlo & Motion, has been supporting Attitude Recovery in tackling the health and recovery market. The support led in a new marketing positioning with a new branding and adequate pricing, the identification of key relays to activate to develop the business, the implementation of CRM tools and opportunities studies for the launch of new products and services.

Cost Management

Players wages optimisation study

For Racing 92, Antoine Duval provided a deepthrough study of the organisation of players wages spendings and provided the club with a strategy to optimize it while taking into account all regulations imposed by french national league (JIFF players, salary cap…)

Deliverables : A wages matrix to help determine what would be the optimal amount to pay a player according to his role in the team as well as his market value linked to his position.

P&L analysis for club buy-back

Six Sports Management supported KPMG in a P&L analysis mission to help identify cost efficiency opportunities in the evaluation of the opportunity for the buy back of a professional rugby club. 

Supplier management strategy definition

Six Sports Management supported host broadcaster HBS in determining an efficient supplier management strategy to optimize cost management and be less dependent on market.

Deliverables : Definition of an overall process for supplier management, including the need qualification for the deployment of a supplier management tool. 

Major Events bids and operations

Olympic bid Alpes 2030

Alongside partners (PwC, RnK, Spartner Event & Consulting), Six Sports Management contributed to supporting the Région Sud in drafting the bid of the 2030 Olympics in the Alps. Among the global bidding team, we were required to produce bidding elements linked to transportation within the region, housing in the southern two clusters (Briançonnais and Nice), and contribute to the field of play definition in Montgenèvre and Serre-Chevalier. Six Sports Management also supervised the collection of housing guarantees throughout the clusters. 

Deliverable : Bid chapters linked to transportation and housing, field of play mapping and annexes. 

Strategic communications operations

For the 2023 Rugby World Cup organizing committee, Six Sports Management supported the executive directors and the president in preparing their public interventions on strategic topics (economic impact, legacy, geopolitics…) as well as during games time by preparing press conferences and releases alongside the communications department and general secretary. 

Opportunity studies

Mountain sports performance center

Alongside partners (PwC, RnK, Spartner Event & Consulting), Six Sports Management contributed to supporting the Région Sud in an opportunity study for the creation of a mountain sports performance center in the Ubaye valley. The mission scope went from service and venue definition to marketing approach and financial modeling.

Deliverables : an exhaustive opportunity study including market research, modeling and recommendations on the relevance of such project for the territory.

Rugby sevens team creation

For Racing 92 rugby club, Six Sports Management provided an opportunity study concerning the creation of a rugby sevens dedicated team within the professional club, studying three main scenarii, including financial modeling of every studied opportunity.
